From Dialogue to Action: Practical Cases of Intercultural Interaction and Social Adaptation for Community Resilience

Community resilience largely depends on people's ability to interact despite cultural, linguistic, and social differences. In times of war, migration, and other crises, dialogue, mutual understanding, and collective action become the foundation for maintaining social cohesion and supporting community development.

During this panel discussion, participants will explore practical cases of intercultural interaction, social adaptation, and integration within communities undergoing significant change. Speakers will share their experience in implementing humanitarian and social projects and discuss tools that help transform tension and misunderstanding into cooperation, dialogue, and joint problem-solving.

Special attention will be given to practices that strengthen trust between people, support internally displaced persons, and foster social cohesion within communities.

Olena Maliarenko - writer and journalist, author of embroidery and decorative art works, moderator of the RIKA Conversation Club in Kherson.

Yevhen Kozelkov - Project Manager at the NGO DESYATE KVITNIA (The Tenth of April), specialist with more than seven years of experience in humanitarian assistance and the protection of refugees, asylum seekers, and internally displaced persons.

Alisa Kolesnikova - Humanitarian Projects Manager at DESYATE KVITNIA, coordinating project implementation in the Mykolaiv and Odesa regions.

Alisa Horshkova - Coordinator of the Community House social spaces network of DESYATE KVITNIA.
