In times of peace, the mission of the Ukrainian Mediation Academy is to promote the establishment and spread of mediation and other alternative dispute resolution methods in Ukraine, as well as to increase the level of the culture of peace and harmony in Ukrainian society. However, the cursed war affected everyone in Ukraine. It cut short thousands of lives, and destroying and changing millions of Ukrainians' destinies. At the same tiall of Ukraine in the struggle for its freedom and independence andme, it united not only all of Ukraine in the struggle for its freedom and independence but also the entire civilized world around the most essential human values. Priorities in life, work, and communication have changed. In the activities of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, they have also changed. We hope that temporarily, but the course on the development of mediation has given way to the need to provide emergency support to the Ukrainian population in war conditions.Immediately before the full-scale invasion, our organization concluded an agreement with the EU on the implementation of the 3-year project "CONSENT: Improving Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) in Ukraine with an emphasis on mediation." The project's initial focus was on strengthening the role of alternative dispute resolution in Ukraine. But the beginning of the full-scale invasion of Russia certainly affected the project and caused it to be repurposed. Thanks to the flexibility and efficiency of the EU, we managed to reorient the project and partly the resources of the project were directed to the urgent needs of Ukrainians. It was an essential resource that allowed us to buy food, medicine, baby food, baby hygiene products, water, and other things necessary for the needs of Odesa, Mykolaiv, Kharkiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Poltava, Zaporizhzhia, Kherson, Chernihiv, Kyiv and other regions of Ukraine.Assistance was provided at the request of legal entities (hospitals, orphanages, charitable organizations, volunteer centers, etc.) and local and central authorities from different regions of Ukraine (Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, State Judicial Administration of Ukraine, state administrations, city councils, etc.) . Based on the results of 6 months of work in this direction, we can summarize:● the total amount of support provided by the Ukrainian Mediation Academy to the population exceeded 5,000,000 hryvnias;● food products – more than 30 tons;● baby food and other children's products, about 10,000 items;● medicines and medical equipment - more than 11,000 units. And also many other goods. Geography of UAM assistance - 10+ regions of Ukraine.
