Lessons of Peace and Justice: A New Wave of Mediation and Opportunities for Facilitators

Spring traditionally brings new energy, momentum, and a desire to take action. This same energy is bringing new life to the Lessons of Peace and Justice initiative, thanks to active facilitators who are helping to promote a culture of dialogue among children and young people.

One of these facilitators is Zariana Peka, who has already conducted more than 24 Lessons of Peace and Justice. Each lesson creates a space for meaningful dialogue with students, encouraging them to explore trust, justice, communication, and peaceful approaches to resolving conflicts.

Thanks to the commitment and initiative of facilitators, hundreds of children are discovering the fundamentals of mediation, learning to listen to one another, and developing the ability to search for solutions together. These lessons are important steps towards building a society that is more attentive, responsible, and open to dialogue.

A New Wave of Mediation: Join the Initiative

The beginning of spring is a great opportunity to try yourself in the role of a Lessons of Peace and Justice facilitator. The school year is still underway, and a new wave of mediation activities is beginning, offering new opportunities to get involved.

About the Initiative

The Lessons of Peace and Justice initiative is implemented by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation together with the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine within the CONSENT Project, with the financial support of the European Union.

The initiative creates opportunities to promote a culture of peace, develop children’s communication skills, and foster an environment where conflicts can be addressed through dialogue, mutual understanding, and cooperation.
