“Lessons of Peace and Justice” Longlisted for the Responsibility Award 2025

The nationwide initiative “Lessons of Peace and Justice” has been included in the Responsibility Award 2025 Longlist in the National Partnership Project category.

Out of 165 stories submitted for the award, the jury selected approximately one third as nominees. “Lessons of Peace and Justice” is among them, recognising the value of cross-sectoral cooperation and the joint efforts of the initiative’s partners.

The initiative is implemented through the cooperation of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine, the Spravedlyvtsi Club, courts, educational institutions, as well as mediators, judges, lawyers, and human rights advocates.

Together, they help children and young people explore the principles of justice, dialogue, mutual understanding, and peaceful conflict resolution through practical and interactive learning.

The initiative team expresses its gratitude to the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation and the partners of the Responsibility Award, as well as to the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine for their shared commitment to strengthening trust, mutual respect, and access to justice for children and young people.

The Responsibility Award was established in 2021 by the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation, the same year that Human Responsibility Day, observed on 19 October, was introduced in Ukraine. The Award recognises cross-sectoral partnership projects that demonstrate the power of unity and collective action.

The key message of the Responsibility Award 2025 is: “Responsibility unites, and unity multiplies change.”

The Responsibility Award 2025 is organised by the Bohdan Hawrylyshyn Family Foundation in cooperation with its partners, including the MHP-Hromadi Charitable Foundation, the MHP Poruch programme, Aurora Multimarket, Razom for Ukraine, the ZMIN Foundation, the International Renaissance Foundation, and the Fedir Shpyh Foundation.
