Nationwide Initiative “Lesson of Peace and Justice” Continues!

he start of the school year is always special — new acquaintances, goals, and ideas. Have you already felt the energy of September? Now is the perfect time to catch the next wave of mediation and join the nationwide initiative for school students “Lesson of Peace and Justice.”

About the Initiative

For several months, mediators and legal professionals from across Ukraine have been conducting lessons for schoolchildren, introducing them to the principles of dialogue, justice, and peaceful conflict resolution.

Last school year, special recognition went to mediator Nadiia Bondarenko-Zelinska, who conducted 24 lessons in June alone and became the absolute champion of the season!

Inspiration from Mediators

Nadiia shares her experience:

“What impressed me the most during these lessons was how easily children switched from searching for the guilty party to finding a way to meet the needs of everyone involved in the conflict. We, adults, have a lot to learn from our children!”

This initiative is implemented by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation and the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine within the CONSENT project, with financial support from the European Union.
