Soft Skills Training for Educational Safety Service Officers Has Started

The Ukrainian Academy of Mediation continues its systematic efforts to promote a culture of dialogue and constructive interaction in educational environments. On 3 August, the soft skills training programme “Effective Communication and Mediation” was launched for Educational Safety Service officers.

The participants are professionals who work with students, teachers, and parents on a daily basis, respond to conflict situations, and contribute to the prevention of offences in educational institutions. Developing effective communication and constructive conflict resolution skills is therefore an important part of their professional work.

The training programme consists of four online sessions focused on developing practical skills in effective communication, conflict management, emotional intelligence, and the fundamentals of mediation. The tools acquired during the training will help participants improve their interactions with colleagues, students, teachers, and parents, while contributing to a safer and more supportive educational environment.

The training is delivered by trainers of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation and experts of the EU-funded CONSENT Project: Iryna Dotsenko, Iryna Suchilova, Hanna Baryshnykova, and Iryna Balan.

This training continues the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation’s systematic cooperation with the Educational Safety Service, aimed at promoting dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution, and a culture of effective communication in Ukrainian educational institutions.

The event is organised by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation within the project “CONSENT: Enhancing the Role of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Ukraine with a Focus on Mediation”, implemented with the support of the European Union.
