The Power of a Pause: Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and the Hidden Cost of Caring for Others

The Power of a Pause: Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and the Hidden Cost of Caring for Others

In professions centered on supporting others, self-care often becomes a secondary priority. Mediators, psychologists, lawyers, social workers, volunteers, and educators face human suffering, difficult emotions, and conflicts on a daily basis. However, the constant readiness to help comes at a cost — burnout, compassion fatigue, and the gradual depletion of personal resources.

During the panel discussion "The Power of a Pause: Burnout, Compassion Fatigue, and the Hidden Cost of Caring for Others", participants will have the opportunity to explore the challenges faced by helping professionals, the importance of personal boundaries, strategies for restoring energy and resilience, and ways to maintain well-being while continuing to support others.
