Ukrainian Academy of Mediation Presented the “Lessons of Peace and Justice” Initiative at the All-Ukrainian Civil Society Forum

The Ukrainian Academy of Mediation took part in the All-Ukrainian Civil Society Forum “Resilience Shapes the Future”, which brought together representatives of civil society organizations, public authorities, international organizations, veterans’ communities, academics, and young people to discuss the role of civil society in strengthening resilience and supporting Ukraine’s recovery.

During the panel discussion “Stories That Leave a Mark”, Oksana Yaremko, representing the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, and Anastasiia Dudko, representing the Educational Security Service of the National Police of Ukraine, presented the story of their partnership within the nationwide initiative “Lessons of Peace and Justice.”

The initiative is implemented in cooperation with the Association for the Development of Judicial Self-Government of Ukraine, the Spravedlyvtsi Club, and the Educational Security Service of the National Police of Ukraine. Its mission is to help children develop a culture of dialogue, peaceful conflict resolution skills, responsible communication, and legal awareness.

In 2025, the initiative reached 22 regions of Ukraine, more than 200 educational institutions, and over 13,000 children. More than 300 Educational Security Service officers completed specialized training and became facilitators of the lessons in schools. Overall, the initiative delivered more than 850 educational sessions.

A significant milestone for the initiative was its recognition as the winner of the “Partnership of the Year” nomination at the Golden Flipchart 2026 awards. This achievement highlights the value of cross-sector cooperation and the collective effort to promote a culture of dialogue among children and young people.
