Ukrainian Academy of Mediation Programme Featured in the “How Are You, Brother?” Project Guide
Information about the “Mediation: The Power of Change” programme developed by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation for veterans has been included in a new guide published by the volunteer project “How Are You, Brother?”
The “How Are You, Brother?” project focuses on collecting and sharing effective practices for providing support, restoring communication, and maintaining relationships during wartime — both for military personnel and civilians.
Practical Tools for Support
The guides developed within the project provide practical materials with clear and accessible approaches to communication and support in different life situations. In particular, they address:
- communicating with people who have experienced traumatic events;
- supporting loved ones from a distance;
- communicating with children during wartime;
- communication within the military and with veterans;
- interaction in educational institutions;
- providing basic psychological support.
The inclusion of the “Mediation: The Power of Change” programme in the guide highlights the importance of mediation as a tool for supporting people, restoring dialogue, and strengthening relationships in the challenging circumstances of war.
Sharing the Guides with Programme Participants
The guides will primarily be distributed among military personnel and veterans who have already completed mediation training at the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation.
We are grateful to our partners for the opportunity to contribute to this important space of support and to help disseminate effective communication practices.
This cooperation contributes to strengthening a culture of dialogue and mutual support in Ukrainian society, particularly among those directly affected by the consequences of war.
