We invite children under 12 to create a drawing about kindness, friendship, and caring for the world

The “My Ocean of Understanding and Kindness” contest is waiting for children’s ideas!
It doesn’t matter what materials are used—paints, pencils, or a tablet.The main thing is to express kindness, mutual understanding, and care for the world through creativity.
What if this very drawing inspires others to be kinder?
Participants can win prizes and receive diplomas from the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation.
The contest results will be announced during the10th International Forum “Mediation and Law.”

HOW TO TAKE PART IN THE CONTEST

Publish a post on social media

Post on Facebook and/or Instagram with a photo of your child’s drawing.

Add text to the post

We are taking part in the children’s drawing contest “My Ocean of Understanding and Kindness” organized by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation #MyOceanOfUnderstanding

Author of the drawing: [name], [age], [city]

The Audience Choice winner will be determined on June 8 during the 10th International Forum “Mediation and Law” through voting.

Add the link to the application form

In the application form on the website, you need to add a direct link to your Facebook or Instagram post.

Important:
The link must lead specifically to the publication (post), not to a profile or page.
Your profile must be public.


Contest terms:

  • Children up to and including 12 years of age, residing in Ukraine or abroad, are eligible to participate in the contest.

  • The application for participation must be submitted by the child’s authorized representative (parent, guardian, or custodian) via the form on the website of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, with prior consent from the author of the work.

  • Contest entries must be submitted in digital form via the form on the website.

    Accepted file formats: PNG, JPG, or PDF.

    Works may be:

    handmade (using pencils, paints, markers, etc.)
    created digitally

    If submitting a handmade work, a high-quality photo or scanned copy must be uploaded.

  • Drawings should reflect the following themes:

    kindness, understanding, and mutual respect
    friendship and support
    peaceful interaction
    care for people, animals, and nature

    The language of any text (if included): Ukrainian or English.

  • Entries can be submitted until 11:59 PM, May 17, 2026.
    Late submissions will not be considered.

  • There is no limit to the number of entries per participant.
    Each entry must be submitted separately.
    Only individual works are eligible for participation.

  • Entries must be:

    ● original and created by the participant
    ● without the use of artificial intelligence

    The following are not allowed:

    ● scenes of aggression, cruelty, or violence
    ● any form of discrimination or disrespect toward others
    ● offensive or inappropriate content

    Copyright violations are grounds for disqualification.

  • Submitting an entry implies consent to its use for:

    ● evaluation
    ● publication
    ● display on social media and information resources of the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation, the CONSENT project, and the European Union

  • Winners (1st–3rd places) will receive diplomas and prizes.

    An “Audience Choice Award” winner will also be selected and will receive a diploma and a gift.

    The Ukrainian Academy of Mediation may introduce additional categories.

  • Works will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

    ● relevance to the theme
    ● creativity and originality
    ● quality of execution
    ● emotional impact and overall impression

This contest is organized by the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation as part of the project “CONSENT: Enhancing the Role of Alternative Dispute Resolution in Ukraine with a Focus on Mediation,” with financial support from the European Union.
