  • How can the state and taxpayers find more effective solutions to disputes? During the panel, we will discuss modern approaches to resolving tax disputes, international experience, the role of dialogue, and the potential for using mediation and other ADR mechanisms in this area. Ukraine is currently also seeking effective models of interaction between business and the state, so the discussion will provide an opportunity to explore the prospects for development in this area.
    The panel will feature representatives of the State Tax Service of Ukraine, international experts and representatives from other countries.
    This will be of interest to business representatives, tax officials, lawyers, mediators, representatives of the Business Ombudsman Council, corporate lawyers and anyone working with business disputes.

  • Ethical standards remain one of the key issues in the development of the mediation profession worldwide. This panel will focus on contemporary international approaches to mediator ethics, current discussions, and the initiatives of the International Mediation Institute in this field. The event will provide an opportunity to discuss complex professional dilemmas, practical challenges, and the role of ethical standards in building trust in mediation.

  • A stable investment climate is impossible without effective dispute resolution mechanisms. During the panel discussion, we will discuss the role of arbitration, mediation and other ADR tools in the field of investment disputes, as well as the importance of trust for Ukraine’s economic development and post-war recovery. Particular attention will be paid to how modern dispute resolution mechanisms influence a country’s investment attractiveness.

Veterans and mediators from Ukraine and other countries will share their own perspectives on how mediation and communication skills can assist in the process of adapting to civilian life, in building dialogue and in resolving conflicts. Particular attention will be paid to personal experiences, trust and the search for new roles after service.
    This will be of interest to veterans, psychologists, mediators, representatives of civil society organisations, social workers, government institutions and anyone working on the topic of reintegration and support for veterans.
