Homefront Strong & Ukrainian Academy of Mediation present:Honing Your Skills - A Capacity-Building Workshop Series for Veteran and Military Mediators


The training supports participants who wish to:

● introduce mediation concepts to different audiences
● facilitate informational sessions about mediation
● deliver workshops focused on core communication and soft skills, such as active listening, paraphrasing, asking effective questions, and building constructive dialogue.

TERMS OF PARTICIPATION

    Participation in the training is free of charge

    All sessions will be held on Zoom.

    Simultaneous interpretation into Ukrainian and English will be provided.

    Participants who attend all three workshops will receive a certificate of completion.

Sharon Tracy

Sharon Tracy is from a multi-generational military family and founder of Quabbin Mediation, a nonprofit program that served Western Massachusetts for 35 years.

Jennifer Baublitz

Jennifer is the Executive Director of HomeFront Strong, and Adjunct Professor at Assumption University, a Veterans Mediation Trainer and military spouse.

Stan Rosenberg

Stan is a retired Massachusetts legislator, having serving since 1987, including as Senate President from 2015-2017. Stan was instrumental in the success of Veterans Mediation statewide.

Harvey Weiner, Esq.

Harvey Weiner is a decorated U. S. Army Vietnam War combat veteran. As an attorney, he has participated in hundreds of mediations and, as a Veterans Mediation trainer, he has helped train scores of veterans, servicepersons and those who work withe veterans.

Steve Connor

is the Director of Central Hampshire Veterans Service and has been a Veterans Service Officer since February of 2004 for the City of Northampton. He is a U.S. Navy veteran from the late 70’s.
