  • This panel is dedicated to the role of international competitions in shaping a new generation of lawyers and other professionals skilled in negotiation and mediation. Participants will discuss how competitions help students to truly experience mediation ‘in practice’ and learn to deal with conflicts, communication and the interests of the parties involved.   • Restorative Justice in Ukraine
    Restorative justice is currently one of the important areas for developing a humane and people-centered approach to justice in Ukraine. During this panel, we will discuss the development of the restorative justice program for juveniles, the role of the Free Legal Aid system, interagency cooperation, and the social importance of this approach. It will also be an opportunity to reflect on the path of restorative justice development in Ukraine and to discuss its future.
    This session will be of interest to lawyers, mediators, Free Legal Aid professionals, prosecutors, judges, police representatives, educators, researchers, and everyone interested in restorative justice.
