The event-presentation of the scientific and practical commentary to the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation” was successfully held

On November 19, the EU Project “Pravo-Justice” jointly with the Ukrainian Academy of Mediation within the framework of the EU Project “CONSENT” held an event-presentation of the scientific and practical commentary to the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation”. The event brought together members of the Ukrainian Parliament, academics, educators, representatives of the mediation community, as well as national and international experts from the EU Pravo-Justice Project and the EU CONSENT Project.

This event was an important step in supporting the development of a mediation culture in Ukraine. The scientific and practical commentary to the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation”, prepared by the experts of the EU Pravo-Justice Project together with the involved scholars and practitioners, will help both professionals and the public to better understand the essence of mediation, the role of a mediator and methods of effective dispute resolution. Particular attention was paid to the results of the implementation of the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation”, timed to the third anniversary of its adoption.

Such initiatives are critical to building a society governed by the rule of law because they:

- Support legal education: Scientific and practical commentary contributes to raising legal awareness among the population.

- Promote European integration: The information provided in the commentary helps to harmonize Ukrainian legislation with European standards.

- Ensure sustainable development: Mediation as a conflict resolution tool helps to reduce the burden on the judicial system and improve the quality of justice.

The Scientific and Practical Commentary to the Law of Ukraine “On Mediation” will contribute to this:
