The International Scientific and Practical Conference “Mediation & Universities 3.0” continues the initiative launched in 2024, once again bringing together the academic and professional communities to explore current developments in mediation.
The Conference provides a platform for researchers, practitioners, educators, legal professionals, representatives of the business community, public authorities, and civil society to exchange ideas, combining academic research, practical experience, and perspectives on the future development of mediation.
Today, mediation extends far beyond being merely a method of conflict resolution. It is increasingly becoming part of a modern culture of interaction, shaping approaches to dispute resolution, communication, and decision-making in education, justice, business, public administration, and other areas of significant public importance.
Universities play a particularly important role in these processes as environments where new knowledge is created, educational programmes are developed, research is conducted, and practical initiatives emerge.
The Conference aims to explore current trends and emerging approaches in mediation, present the results of academic research and practical developments, foster professional dialogue, and identify prospects for the further integration of mediation into various areas of society.
On 16–17 October 2026, we invite you to join us in continuing this dialogue.

As part of the Conference, you can:

1. Mediation in Business and Employment
Commercial, corporate, partnership, and employment disputes, as well as mediation within organizations. Legal, organizational, and psychological aspects of conflicts, their prevention, and the preservation of professional and business relationships.
2. Mediation and Dialogue in Communities
Mediation, dialogue, and facilitation in local communities. Addressing local conflicts, interaction between different groups, citizen participation in decision-making, rebuilding trust, and strengthening social cohesion.
3. Mediation for Military Personnel, Veterans and Their Family Members
Mediation in conflicts involving military personnel, male and female veterans, and their family members. Legal, psychological, and social aspects of family, employment, organizational, and interpersonal conflicts, as well as adaptation and reintegration.
4. The Potential of Artificial Intelligence for the Development of Mediation
The use of artificial intelligence and digital tools in mediation, mediator training, and conflict management. Legal, ethical, and technological aspects, data protection, algorithmic risks, and the limits of automation.
5. Mediation in the Context of Justice
The use of mediation in connection with court proceedings and other legal procedures, referral of cases to mediation, and implementation of mediated agreements. The role of judges, lawyers, mediators, and other legal professionals in ensuring the right of access to justice.
6. Mediation as an Alternative Method for Resolving International Conflicts and Disputes
The use of mediation in international, cross-border, and interstate conflicts and disputes. Legal, diplomatic, and communication aspects, the specific features of different legal and cultural contexts, and the implementation of mediated agreements.
7. Mediation in Educational Settings
Mediation in schools, vocational education and training institutions, and higher education institutions, including peer mediation services and youth initiatives. Addressing conflicts among participants in the educational process, fostering a culture of dialogue, and developing mediation competencies.
8. Mediation: Emerging Research and Interdisciplinary Perspectives
Contemporary research on mediation at the intersection of law, psychology, sociology, education, communication, economics, and technology. New methodologies, empirical evidence, and approaches to assessing the effectiveness of mediation.

The Organising Committee of the International Scientific Conference ensures anonymous review of each abstract. All submitted abstracts are checked for plagiarism using software.Authors are advised that it is prohibited to cite in the text and include in the bibliography sources published in Russian in any country, as well as sources in other languages if they are published in Russia or Belarus.The Organising Committee reserves the right to reject abstracts in the event of the above violations and non-compliance of the topic or content of the abstracts with the stated topics.
